Chaozy: Party Games · Last updated 11 October 2026
Chaozy: Party Games (“Chaozy”, “the app”) is published by Auralabs (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app collects, why, who it is shared with and the choices you have. It covers the iOS and Android apps and this website.
The following is stored only on your device and is never sent to us:
Deleting the app deletes this data. On Android, it may be included in your Google device backup if you have backups turned on.
When you host or join an online room, the app signs in to Google Firebase anonymously. This creates a random ID for your device. It is not linked to your name, email or any other account, and we cannot use it to contact you.
| What | Why | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Room code, the host’s display name, room size, status and times | So people can find and join the room | Anyone using the app who has the room code |
| The display name and avatar each player chooses, their seat, and whether they are online | To show the lobby and whose turn it is | Players in the same room |
| Game state: the game, pack, settings, turns and answers chosen in the game | To keep every phone in the room in sync | Players in the same room |
| Which room your anonymous ID is in | To put you back into the room if the app restarts | Only your device |
| Connection test records (your anonymous ID and a timestamp) | To diagnose connection problems | Us |
Use a nickname if you prefer. Please do not put personal or sensitive information in a display name.
This data is stored in Google Firebase Realtime Database in Google’s Singapore region. A player’s entry is removed when they leave the room. Other room data is currently kept after the room closes. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see section 8).
Feature requests. If you send an idea from Settings → Request a feature, we store the text you write, the category you pick (if any), your platform, app version and app language, whether you have Premium, a random ID created for this install and the time, in Google Firebase (Firestore). It is anonymous: it is not linked to your name, email, advertising ID or the anonymous ID above. Only we can read it, and we use it to plan improvements. Please do not include personal information in your idea. To have an idea deleted, email us its text and roughly when you sent it.
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob: one ad in the Packs list, clearly labelled “Ad”; full-screen ads between rounds and when you leave a game; an occasional full-screen ad when you come back to the app after a while (never when you open it); and optional rewarded ads you can choose to watch to try a pack for a limited time. To show, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud, Google collects information such as your IP address (used to estimate your general location), device model, operating system, app version, ad interactions and, where you allow it, your device’s advertising identifier. Google may use this to show ads based on your interests where the law and your choices allow it. We do not receive these identifiers ourselves.
See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Premium (auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase) is sold through the App Store and Google Play, which handle payment. We never see your name, card or bank details. We use RevenueCat to check what you have bought and to restore purchases. RevenueCat receives a random customer ID created by the app (not linked to your name, email or advertising ID), the products you bought, transaction IDs and receipts, your country and store currency, and basic device information such as the OS version and app version. We use this only to unlock Premium, restore it on a new device and handle refunds or billing problems, never for advertising. Purchase records are kept while you have Premium and for as long as needed for accounting and tax law afterwards. See the RevenueCat privacy policy.
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to learn how the app is used, so we know which games and packs people enjoy and whether purchases and online rooms work. The app sends events such as “game started”, “round played”, “premium screen shown” or “room created”, with the game, pack, level and number of players, plus your app language and No-drinking setting. Google adds a random app-instance ID, the device model, OS and app version, and an approximate country or city derived from the IP address. The events never contain the player names you type, room names or the questions shown. We turned off the collection of the advertising ID by Analytics and any use of this data for ads. Google keeps it for up to 14 months. Purchase events also carry the product, price, currency and the store’s transaction ID, so we can count revenue. On iPhone, if you installed the app from an Apple Search Ads ad, Apple tells the app (and RevenueCat) the IDs of that campaign, ad group and keyword through its AdServices framework, so we can tell which ads bring players who enjoy the game. Apple shares no personal data and this does not use the advertising ID or tracking.
If the app crashes or a step fails (for example a pack download or a purchase), Firebase Crashlytics receives a crash report: the error and the code that was running, the screen you were on, the last steps before it, the device model, OS and app version and a random installation ID. It contains no names you typed and no questions. Crash reports are kept for 90 days. See Firebase privacy and security.
Chaozy is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Some packs contain drinking dares and adult themes and are only for people of legal drinking age where they live. The app asks once whether you are of legal drinking age and switches drinking challenges off if you are not. If you believe a child has used an online room, contact us and we will delete the data.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe, the UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. There is no account: you can delete your data in the app, or email us with the room code of any room you want removed. We will reply within 30 days.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
We share data only with the providers that run the app: Google (Firebase and AdMob) and RevenueCat. They may process it in countries other than yours, including Singapore and the United States, under their own safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Data is sent over encrypted connections, and database rules limit room data to the people in that room as described above. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep display names free of sensitive information.
We will update this page when the app changes how it handles data, and change the date at the top. For significant changes we will also tell you in the app.
