Chaozy: Party Games · Last updated 8 October 2026
Chaozy: Party Games (“Chaozy”, “the app”) is published by Auralabs (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app collects, why, who it is shared with and the choices you have. It covers the iOS and Android apps and this website.
The following is stored only on your device and is never sent to us:
Deleting the app deletes this data. On Android, it may be included in your Google device backup if you have backups turned on.
When you host or join an online room, the app signs in to Google Firebase anonymously. This creates a random ID for your device. It is not linked to your name, email or any other account, and we cannot use it to contact you.
| What | Why | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Room code, the host’s display name, room size, status and times | So people can find and join the room | Anyone using the app who has the room code |
| The display name and avatar each player chooses, their seat, and whether they are online | To show the lobby and whose turn it is | Players in the same room |
| Game state: the game, pack, settings, turns and answers chosen in the game | To keep every phone in the room in sync | Players in the same room |
| Which room your anonymous ID is in | To put you back into the room if the app restarts | Only your device |
| Connection test records (your anonymous ID and a timestamp) | To diagnose connection problems | Us |
Use a nickname if you prefer. Please do not put personal or sensitive information in a display name.
This data is stored in Google Firebase Realtime Database in Google’s Singapore region. A player’s entry is removed when they leave the room. Other room data is currently kept after the room closes. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see section 7).
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob: banners, full-screen ads between rounds, and optional rewarded ads. To show and measure ads, Google collects information such as your IP address, device model, operating system, app version and, on Android, the device’s advertising ID. Google may use this to show ads based on your interests where the law and your choices allow it.
See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Premium is sold through the App Store and Google Play, which handle payment. We never see your card or bank details. We use RevenueCat to check what you have bought and to restore purchases. RevenueCat receives a random customer ID created by the app, the products you bought, transaction IDs and receipts, your country and store currency, and basic device information. See the RevenueCat privacy policy.
Chaozy is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Some packs contain drinking dares and adult themes and are only for people of legal drinking age where they live. If you believe a child has used an online room, contact us and we will delete the data.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe, the UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. Because there is no account, the simplest way is to email us with the room code of any room you want removed. We will reply within 30 days.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
We share data only with the providers that run the app: Google (Firebase and AdMob) and RevenueCat. They may process it in countries other than yours, including Singapore and the United States, under their own safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Data is sent over encrypted connections, and database rules limit room data to the people in that room as described above. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep display names free of sensitive information.
We will update this page when the app changes how it handles data, and change the date at the top. For significant changes we will also tell you in the app.
